As the first snow of the season fell Wednesday on Metro Vancouver’s streets, the Insurance Corp. of B.C. warned motorists that if they get into a crash and they didn’t use snow tires or chains when appropriate, they may be deemed to be negligent.

All-season tires might not be good enough to get you safely through the winter, says OK Tire manager Nason Higinbotham.
