Microsoft Office 365 & Azure Administrator – IT | OK Tire Corporate Office (South Surrey, BC)

OK Tire Stores Inc. has been part of the Canadian landscape since 1953 and has grown to over 320 locations in Canada, making it the largest independent tire and auto service retailer in Canada. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Office 365 & Azure to join our dynamic and fast-paced team.

Under the direction of the IT Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of system administration and development duties.

In this role you will:

  • You are a self-starter and enjoy working independently as well as a team player
  • Experience working with Office 365 & Azure technologies such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, etc
  • Manage the Microsoft 365 environment as it relates to administration, architecture and security, following Microsoft recommended practices
  • Responsible to monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
  • Maintain and manage the company’s computing infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, scan gun hardware
  • Manage all licenses related issues for Microsoft and other vendors
  • Responsible for ensuring all users are MFA compliance and using Single Sign On where possible
  • Responsible for integrating cloud services with API connectivity
  • Collaborate with the development team to support the deployment, integration, and maintenance of various applications.
  • Be security minded when implementing any technological solutions
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure that all systems follow industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in system administration and development.
  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders, including employees, managers, and executives.
  • Provide third level support for end-user computing technology and business applications
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Use ITIL best practices for Incident, Problem, Asset, Project and Purchase Management
  • Be available for afterhours support/on-call when required
  • Plus other tasks/projects assigned by the IT manager

Qualifications / Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Microsoft 365 administrator, System Administrator, with a focus on existing and new technology.
  • 2+ years of experience in scripting for system and task automation using PowerShell and other scripting languages
  • Experience managing Office 365 environment using PowerShell scripting to automate tasks
  • Experience working with and supporting ERP platform
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools
  • Experience in configuring and managing Adobe Commerce/Magento
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical members of the organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Business Intelligence / Analysis experience would be an asset.
  • Experience with INFOR ERP would be a great asset
  • Working with different levels of management team
